Was the chicken organic and free range, at least?

How long have you been a vegetarian? I knew you were seriously considering it, but when did you make the plunge?
I was told today by my friend with a PhD in Agriculture that free range chicken farms actually produce more greenhouse gases than cage farms. Ahhhh, and Anton told me that soy farming is one of the leading contributors to rain forest deforestation. Those things had little to do with your post, but they make my head spin when I try to figure out what's the best thing to do for the environment.
