I realized that I only have one scary story of genuine merit and need a few more to boost my repertoire. If you post yours, I'll post mine. Or you could create one a la Mary Shelley. (Frankenstein was written after she and some friends decided to bring their best ghost story to their next lake getaway.)

One night while I was visiting my parents I slept in my sisters room who was out of town. I was having trouble sleeping and found myself trying to fall asleep to the steady hummmmmmm of my sisters fish tank. Suddenly I hear the fish tank cut off. I roll over and look at the tank. It looks like it's still running but there is no noise...in fact everything is silent...deathly silent if you will. Then it catches my eye. In the middle of the floor is a disgusting old woman in a blue dress crawling in circles like a dog chasing its tail. I stare at her not believing what i am seeing. Almost immediatly the old woman feels my eyes and snaps her head in my direction halting her circle crawl. We stare into each other for what seems like a lifetime. Suddenly breaking the spell she bolts across the room towards me. I immediatley drop back into my bad and close my eyes refusing to ever open them until the sun comes up. I can hear and feel my heart pounding in my chest. I can't catch my breathe. After about 30 minutes I am slowly regaining my composure, breathing normal, and heart back to a crawl. Then I hear the fish tank click back on and I slowly fall to sleep.

I don't have many ghost stories but I was going to say check with Shea, but I see he has already jumped on it. He's fulll of these things, and they're good.
